Glimmer Public Relations was founded by Missy Heckman, a
graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, licensed beautician
and former beauty and fashion writer for Fairchild Publications. Prior
to that Missy was a fashion stylist for New York City Fashion Week
and also worked as a magazine photo shoot stylist. She has also
consulted and styled for MTV, Spike and the Bravo channel.
For years Missy worked as a publicist for several fashion in house
press offices and public relations agencies in both New York and Los
Angeles and saw the need for more personalized, hands on attention
to be given to clients. While working, Missy witnessed various
opportunities slip through the cracks due to inexperienced staff
handling accounts. Glimmer PR avoids this problem by assigning a
senior level publicist who is an expert in their field, the sole
responsibility of handling direct contact with the media for each
client. Having experience in servicing large clients with full
advertising and marketing teams, she choose to assist small clients
who needed a voice and presence in the media but could not afford
such luxuries. Glimmer PR has large agency experience, skills and
direct personal media contacts at boutique agency personal attention
and budget. Glimmer PR assists companies nationwide and
internationally who are just launching new products and established
companies who need a fresh face and new beginning to their media
and publicity approach.
